Overview:

A well-established and growing electrical contractor in the Miami, FL area is currently seeking a skilled Electrical Estimator to join their team. This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity offering a dynamic work environment, competitive compensation, and comprehensive benefits. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial electrical estimating and proven experience using estimating software.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial electrical projects (healthcare, hospitality, data centers, institutional, and more)
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs and analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare estimates
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field personnel to understand project requirements and scopes of work
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes
• Participate in value engineering and cost-saving analysis
• Maintain and organize historical cost data and estimate documentation
• Assist in bid strategy meetings and provide post-bid support as needed

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience as an Electrical Estimator in the commercial construction industr
• Proficiency in Accubid estimating software is a plu
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, NEC code, and commercial construction method
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specification
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skill
• Ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously under tight deadline
