Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent specializing in Commercial and Industrial projects to oversee and coordinate electrical construction activities on large-scale sites. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive construction site experience, and proficiency with construction management software. This role involves managing project schedules, ensuring safety compliance, supervising teams, and maintaining high standards of quality control to deliver successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise electrical construction teams on commercial and industrial sites, ensuring adherence to project plans, schematics, and safety protocols.
  • Develop and manage detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and other construction management software to meet deadlines.
  • Oversee budgeting, procurement, and resource allocation to optimize project efficiency.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
  • Coordinate with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure seamless communication and workflow.
  • Monitor quality control measures to ensure compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to enforce OSHA safety standards and address any safety concerns promptly.
  • Manage change orders, contracts, and documentation related to project scope modifications.
  • Utilize tools such as Ohmmeter for troubleshooting electrical systems during installation or maintenance phases.
  • Supervise subcontractors and labor crews, providing guidance on technical tasks such as construction estimating, schematics interpretation, and quality assurance.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in construction management with a focus on electrical systems in commercial/industrial settings.
  • Supervising experience on large-scale projects with a strong understanding of project scheduling using Primavera P6 or similar tools.
  • Proficiency with construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and Primavera P6.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety protocols, and quality control procedures on construction sites.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
  • Experience with construction estimating, budgeting, contracts management, and project coordination.
  • Skilled in managing multiple teams while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Relevant certifications such as OSHA certification are preferred; hands-on experience with electrical troubleshooting tools like Ohmmeter is desirable.
