If you’re enthusiastic and motivated with a friendly demeanor and have the ability to work well in a team environment, you’ll fit right into this host/hostess role! Excellent communication skills and a warm, courteous manner are needed for speaking with guests, answering phone inquiries, and making accurate reservations. One of your key duties will be to meet and greet guests warmly as they enter the restaurant and walk them to their seats. • Guide diners to their seats and make sure everyone has the correct number of menus, utensils, napkins, and filled water glasses
• Handle booking of reservations, be quick to solve seating problems, and troubleshoot any phone inquiries from customers
• Acknowledge all customers warmly immediately upon arrival to ensure their first impression of the restaurant is positive
• Assist with clearing plates off tables and getting tables ready for the next guests
• Respond to questions about the menu and memorize the daily specials whenever needed
• Take carryout orders and online orders

Qualifications:

• Adapt easily to working in a fast-paced team environment with long hours of standing on feet and moving around
• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent GED and should speak English well
• Skills needed for this role include excellent people skills, time management, organization skills, and the ability to handle customer requests and situations quickly with a pleasant demeanor
• Some restaurant, hospitality, and/or food services industry experience is preferred
