Responsibilities

• Safely operate various types of delivery vehicles, including box trucks and other commercial vehicles
• Load and unload goods efficiently using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling techniques, ensuring items are secured properly for transit.
• Plan and follow optimized delivery routes to maximize efficiency and meet delivery schedules.
• Deliver products directly to customers’ locations with a focus on professionalism, courtesy, and excellent customer service.
• Verify delivery details against invoices or orders, ensuring accuracy in all transactions.
• Handle heavy lifting and moving of packages or equipment as needed while adhering to safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle maintenance logs.
• Communicate proactively with warehouse teams regarding route updates or delivery issues.
• Ensure compliance with all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during every trip.

Skills

• Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier with a strong track record of safe driving and route management.
• Customer service skills that foster positive interactions with clients at every delivery point.
• Warehouse experience including loading, unloading, and inventory handling is highly desirable.
• Ability to operate commercial vehicles such as box trucks confidently.
• Familiarity with equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks for loading/unloading cargo safely.
• Physical strength for heavy lifting, moving items, and performing manual tasks throughout the day.
• Knowledge of route driving best practices to ensure timely deliveries while maintaining safety standards.

R equirements

• Acceptable drug screen
• Acceptable criminal background check
• Valid driver’s license with minimum 3 years driving experience
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Ability to be insured through company auto insurance policy
• Additional certifications like forklift operation are a plus.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently in a busy environment.
