Job Description

Mark One is looking for an experienced, team-oriented Estimator. The successful candidate must be a self-motivated problem solver with a keen eye for detail and accuracy. Our ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills and possess a passion for excellence.

Essential Functions

· Assemble material and labor costs for clients and proposals for construction projects

· Conduct subcontractor solicitation and pre-qualification tasks

· Analyze and insert specialty and standard equipment and material pricing into the estimate

· Confirm our estimate meets the schedule protocol and specifications of scope

· Evaluate and condition subcontractor and supplier quotes

· Research cost history and update data base(s)

· Provide preliminary pricing for indirect and general conditions

· Responsible for reviewing specialty and standard equipment pricing

· Review plans and specifications for completion of estimates

· Review commercial terms and conditions for cost and risk items and present concerns to lead estimator

· Responsible for the accuracy and validity of estimate clarifications and assumptions

· Analyze and price value engineering for submission

· All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

· 5 plus years of experience as an estimator in electrical construction or equivalent experience

· Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, construction management, or an equivalent degree; Applicable experience will be considered in lieu of a degree

Skills and Abilities

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (required) and Trimble Accubid v16 (preferred)

· Exceptional time management, multitasking, and interpersonal skills

· Ability to closely collaborate with other project teams and stakeholders

· Excellent research, proposal writing, and oral presentation skills

· Extensive knowledge of best industry practices and standards

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
