Based in NYC, IML has an in-house licensing and art team committed to representing each property with industry-leading artwork and the latest trends.

This role is for our Ross account to help in both Young Men’s and Juniors.

The position is for our LA office. 

The focus will be for YM development all through production approvals as well as Juniors new body development alongside the technical designer.

There is a Senior Designer and Designer on the Juniors account.

Requirements:

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following skills: 

• Experience in technical design 
• Strong understanding of garment construction 
• Possess ability to sketch and cad design details 
• Tech packs (details pages) 
• Communication and organizational skills 
• Positive and dependable attitude 
• Willing to learn and be taught 
• Flexible and adaptable to fast paced environments 
• Great time management and ability to stay organized 
• Proficient in Illustrator 

Responsibilities 

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned 

• Develop technical flat sketching in illustrator 
• Work side by side with technical designer on new bodies/fit development for Juniors and YM. 
• Design room organization alongside the Juniors Designer 
• Assist the Senior Designer to execute overseas and domestic development as well as divide and conquer the workload for Ross account. 
• Works with cross functional teams such as production, tech team, and sales 
• Ownership of production detail pages for the Young Men’s Tech Packs on all orders 
• Meticulous in checking and revising art size/placement/colors for all YM Ross orders 
• Production strike offs, digital graded art size run, and lab dip approvals for Young Men’s orders. 
• Meet with buyer regularly
• Shop the market (virtual & physical as needed) 
• Help maintain design calendar and deadlines 
• Work with Design director to recruit new talent, assess design needs etc
• Work with Directors and Senior designers to streamline workflow and process. 
• Other assigned tasks 

Salary: $70,000 - $85,000
